Truth or Dare Wheel – Free Online Spinner for Couples, Kids & Adults
Everything you need to know about the free Truth or Dare wheel above —
how it works, how to customise it, and how to save or share your list of
prompts.
Table of Contents
1. What Is the Truth or Dare Wheel?
The Truth or Dare Wheel is a free online random
spinner that replaces the classic card deck or spin-the-bottle setup.
Players spin the digital wheel and get an instantly randomised Truth
question or Dare challenge — fair, unbiased, and a little more
exciting with sound effects and confetti.
The wheel comes preloaded with 50 prompts spanning both Truth
questions and Dare challenges. You can add unlimited custom prompts,
remove any you don't like, or use the quick-load buttons to switch
instantly between Truth & Dare, Truth Only, and Dare Only modes. A
digital wheel also solves the usual problems with physical setups:
nobody can stack the deck, you never run out of cards, and it works
for a group of two or a room full of guests.
2. How to Use This Spinner?
Getting a game going takes only a few steps.
1
Choose your mode
Use the Truth & Dare, Truth Only, or Dare Only buttons above
the entries list to load the prompt set that fits your group.
2
Customize your prompts
Remove any prompts that don't fit your group and add your own
custom truths or dares — one at a time, or several at once with
Bulk Paste.
3
Take turns spinning
Pass the device around the group. Each player hits Spin the Wheel
and must complete whatever it lands on — no skipping, unless your
group sets its own house rules.
4
Complete the challenge
The result pops up with a dramatic reveal, clearly marked as a
Truth or a Dare. Check the history panel afterwards to recap the
night.
3. Wheel Customization
The Truth or Dare Wheel gives you control over how the spinner
behaves. You can change the spinning music, or adjust the spinning
time to make each selection faster or more dramatic.
Turning on Remove Prompt After Spin automatically
takes each selected prompt out of the wheel once it's picked, so
nothing repeats in the same session — useful for longer game nights.
If you want to start over completely, Clear All
removes every current entry so you can build a fresh list.
4. Adding Your Own Prompts
When you open the Truth or Dare Wheel, it loads with 50 default
prompts already on it. To add your own, type a truth question or dare
challenge into the input box and press Enter or the plus button — it's
added instantly and colour-coded blue for Truth or red for Dare.
For a longer custom list, open Bulk Paste and drop in
one prompt per line. This is the fastest way to build a fully
personalised wheel for a specific group, occasion, or inside joke.
5. How a Spin Is Decided
Each prompt on the wheel gets an identical-size slice of the circle.
The wheel uses JavaScript's Math.random() with a uniform distribution,
so every prompt has exactly equal odds of being selected on each spin,
with no patterns or bias.
If you want a prompt to come up more often, enable
Allow Duplicates in Settings and add that prompt to
the wheel more than once.
6. Saving & Sharing
Your prompt list is automatically saved in your browser while you use
the spinner, so you don't need to rebuild it every time you come back
to the page.
To play with a group on a call, click Share Wheel
— a link is copied that opens your exact wheel for anyone who clicks
it. This works well for Zoom, Discord, or Google Meet game nights
where one person shares their screen.
7. Truth or Dare for Couples, Kids & Adults
The wheel works for any audience once you customise the prompt list.
For couples, clear the default prompts and add
relationship-specific questions and dares — things like what your
partner's first impression of you was, or a small dare such as sending
a sweet voice note right now. It's a low-effort way to add a spark to
date night or a long drive.
For kids' parties and sleepovers, switch to Truth
Only mode and swap in age-appropriate questions using the add-entry
box. The default prompts are already clean and fun for most ages, and
the wheel runs in any mobile browser with no app download, so it's
ready to go the moment the sleepover starts.
For adult game nights, bachelorette parties, or
reunions, add your own group-specific dares on top of the defaults.
Use Dare Only mode for high-energy parties where everyone wants
action, or Truth Only for dinner-party icebreakers where the goal is
getting to know each other better.
8. Auto-Save Your Wheel
Your wheel entries are automatically saved to your browser's local
storage, so you can return to the page later without recreating your
list.
Your saved entries are specific to the browser and device you use —
clearing your browser's site data will remove them. Use
Share Wheel if you want a list to persist beyond your
own device.
